Pikey Bream
Pikey bream school-up in very large numbers in estuaries around the coast in the cooler months of the dry season. For the rest of the year, they inhabit shallow tidal creeks where they are occasionally caught on lures. They are a family fishing favourite and taste every bit as good as their southern cousins.

| Eating: | Black bream have white, firm, oily flesh with a delicate sweet flavour.
